英会話において発音は非常に重要です。
発音を間違ってしまうと、自分の伝えたい意味とは違う意味で伝わってしまい、時には大きな誤解を生むこともあります。
また、IELTSや他のスピーキングテストでも発音は評価の基準になります。

発音矯正には Tongue twister「早口言葉」が有効的です。
毎日繰り返し練習することで効果がでてきます。
また、練習を重ねることでスピーキングの流暢さも向上します。

当校の Instagram からアンドリュー講師とペリー講師の早口言葉を3つご紹介します。

今回ご紹介する早口言葉では、日本人が苦手とする "R" と "L" の発音の違いを練習することができます。

まだ英語の早口言葉は難しい！と言う方は、
RとLの単語を交互に言ったり、RとLが混ざった単語の発音を練習することから始めましょう。

例1：River（川）とLiver（肝臓）
例2：Rocknroll, Literally, Libraryなど

英語の早口言葉（動画で紹介したもの以外）

★RとLの発音練習
・How can a clam cram in a clean cream can?
・Truly rural (3回繰り返しましょう)
 

★SとSHの発音練習
・She sells seashells by the seashore
・I saw Susie sitting in a shoeshine shop.
・Susie works in a shoeshine shop. Where she shines she sits, and where she sits she shines.

★TH(とT)の発音練習

・Tom threw Tim three thumbtacks.
・He threw three free throws.

I slit the sheet, the sheet I slit, and on the slitted sheet I sit.

The rickety ladder rattled right and left before it crashed through the glass.

Roy the warrior and Roger the worrier were reared wrongly in a rural brewery.
